Day 1 of the 5 Days Lake Mburo Queen Uganda wildlife safari park tour/ 5 Days Uganda safari tour: Travel from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park for your Uganda wildlife safari tour. Arrive and check in at your hotel that was prior booked

You will start your Uganda safari tour journey early morning after your breakfast at the lodge, driving towards the west from Kampala via the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara highway road. This journey covers a distance of about 386km driving for about 7 hours excluding the stopovers. You will follow the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for most of your journey. You will break this long journey with a stopover at the Equator for photographs, visit the souvenir shops and have a polar water experiment and proceed with your journey to Mbarara at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park to your prior booked lodge. Arrive, check in, dine and spend the night there.

Early in the morning at around 6am, you will be picked by your driver guide from your hotel for a morning game drive in the park. During your Queen Elizabeth Park safari, you will catch the early morning risers as you drive around the park. You will have excellent opportunities to see Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bush bucks and many more. The game drive in Queen Elizabeth Park lasts about 2-3 hours depending on your choice. Return to your lodge for breakfast, relax and have lunch there. After your lunch, drive back to the park where you will enjoy a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This boat cruise on this 45km river will pass you through the highest concentration of Hippos in Africa and you will also be able see a variety of other animals as they drink at the water's edge. Be sure to take your camera with you because this launch cruise will give you an excellent platform to take photographs for your memorable album in Uganda, The “Pearl of Africa”. Retire and return to your hotel.

You may wake up to an early morning breakfast at the lodge, or have it packed before you go for your chimpanzee trekking safari in Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park. You have the option of having a very early breakfast or parking your breakfast and then head for the Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking. During your trekking, you will see variety of primates in the wild. Return to your safari lodge for lunch then go sightseeing in the crater region - it is a marvel! You have the opportunity to visit the Katwe Salt works for a glimpse into the traditional salt mining business.

After your breakfast in the morning, do a simple morning game drive as you depart this part of the world driving back east wards to Lake Mburo National Park, a journey that will take close to 4-5 hours. Lake Mburo National Park is gifted with a variety of attractions but the terrain is dominated by extensive wetlands, rolling grassy hills, seasonal and permanent swamps, wooden savannah, and forests. It is because of these diverse ecosystems that render the park to be one of the richest in bio diversity. Arrive at the park, have lunch and take a boat trip on Lake Mburo and see for yourself the Crocodiles, Pelicans, Hippos, Herons and the rare Shoebill stork if lucky. Transfer to your choice of accommodation in Lake Mburo National Park, relax, dine and spend your night there.

Wake up early and have your morning breakfast at the lodge, get to the road and set off for your early morning game drive in the park for a wonderful opportunity to see the Zebras, Waterbucks, Buffaloes, Topis, Elands, Leopards, and a variety of bird species. After the game drive you will head back to Kampala where your tour in Uganda will end. Break your journey with lunch in Mbarara and a stopover at the equator for photographs, visit the souvenir shops, have a water experiment, listen to some stories as well. Arrive in Kampala in the evening and transfer to your hotel or airport as you may advise.
