Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Mgahinga National Park to your booked hotel/lodge

You are required to wake up early and start your journey to Mgahinga National Park Uganda. your Uganda safari guide will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning at around 6am, he will give you a short briefing about your 4 Days Uganda wildlife tour. You will then leave Kampala and drive south west to Kisoro with en route at the Equator and lunch in Mbarara Town. While at the Equator, you will have chance to step in two hemispheres at the same time, do a polar water experiment, tour the souvenir shops around and take photographs as well. Embark on your journey to Mbarara for lunch and then proceed to Mgahinga National Park. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery as you sit back and admire the Kigezi highlands, the sloppy terraces of Kisoro, thousands of plantations on the road side,

Day 2: You will do a gorilla trekking safari Uganda in Mgahinga National Park and after transfer to Lake Bunyonyi


After an early breakfast, our driver will drive you to Mgahinga National Park headquarters for your Uganda gorilla trekking safari arriving in time for briefing. Before briefing, your passport details will be required to make sure that you are eligible to trek mountain gorillas. This will be followed by briefing about your gorilla safari Uganda from one of the UWA rangers about gorilla trekking, dos and don’ts and instructions to be followed on the trek, with the gorillas and after the trek. You will then be led into the forest by the pack rangers in search for the gorillas. Upon sighting them, you will be restricted to an hour with them. In this hour, you will have an opportunity to watch them feed, play, build their nests, shy away from you which gives you an opportunity to photograph each moment that catches your eye. After the activity, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi the deepest lake in Uganda Africa situated in Kabale district. Lake Bunyonyi is the best place to relax after your gorilla trek. You will have a boat cruise to take you to several islands located in Lake Bunyonyi each with its different history. You may also choose to hike hills surrounding Lake Bunyonyi or do some birding like the grey crowned crane, red-chested sun birds, and many flycatchers. Bilharzia is reliably reported to be absent from the lake, as are crocodiles and hippos, which means that swimming is very safe. Retreat, dine and rest at your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Kibale National Park Uganda to your lodging facility

Wake up to a relaxed breakfast at your lodging facility in Lake Bunyonyi Uganda and after prepare to leave this part of the world with your guide and head to the “Primate capital of the world” Kibale National Park Uganda. Arrive at your lodging facility, check in, relax, dine and spend your night there.

Day 4: Do your chimpanzee trekking safari Uganda and an afternoon walk in Bigodi wetland and return to your lodge

After your early morning Breakfast at the lodge, your driver guide will drive you to the park headquarters for your 8:00am briefing about the chimpanzee trekking activity by the park rangers before you join the rest of the group to begin your adventure. While trekking, you will meet our closest relatives the “Chimpanzees” swinging through the dense forest an activity that will last for about 3-4 hours. Along the trekking trails, you will come across other primates like Black and white Colobus monkeys, Grey cheecked Mangabeys, several species of birds and abundant plant life, butterflies and many small insects. Later return and proceed to have lunch. After your lunch, you will take an amazing nature walk to the Bigodi wetland swamp; a very interesting eco-tourism site. While there, you will encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna. This walk is excellent for birders interested in Uganda birding safaris. As part of this adventure, you will view different bird species like the Great blue Turacco, Rwenzori Turaco, Narina Trogon, and little Bulbul to mention but a few. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer from Kibale Forest National Park to Lake Mburo National Park for your afternoon boat cruise along Lake Mburo

In the morning, after breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park via the Ibanda-Kamwenge road driving a distance of about 213km in about 4hours. Arrive in the park, check in, have lunch and prepare for your boat cruise along Lake Mburo inside the park. After the boat cruise, you will do a simple game drive as you check in your lodge rest, dine and spend your night there.

Day 6: Do a game drive in the park and return to Kampala

After your early morning breakfast at the lodge, your Uganda safari guide will pick you up at the lodge to explore the park with a game drive where you will sight peaceful animals like the zebras, impalas, Topis, buffalos, elands and others. As part of your adventure, Uganda bird watching safari opportunities are excellent here in Lake Mburo National Park, the park has about 350 bird species recorded there including, White-winged Warbler, Crested Francolin among others. After exploring the park during your game drive, you will depart for Kampala with a stopover at the equator for photographs, water experiment as well visiting the souvenir shops around. Proceed with your journey to Kampala arriving late in the evening. Transfer to your hotel, or to the airport for your flight.
