This Uganda safari features a Sipi falls hike, a hiking experience to the summit of Mount Elgon National Park and a boat cruise to the source of the Nile in Jinja.

From Entebbe international airport, a Uganda safari driver guide picks you up for a transfer to a hotel/lodge in Kampala-Uganda’s capital. The next morning, your safari starts with a transfer by a professional Uganda safari guide, to Kapchorwa where you have lunch and hike Sipi falls in the evening. You start the hike the next day at Kapkwai center for hiking then head to tutum caves and spend the night at tutum camp. The next day you continue to kajeri then to Mude on the fourth day of your Uganda mountain hiking safari. Day 1 of your 8 days Mount Elgon mountain hiking safari in Uganda & Jinja source of the Nile tour

Knowledgeable about Uganda safaris, a professional driver guide will welcome you to Uganda and start the drive to booked hotel/lodge in Kampala where you will spend the night. A few kilometers from the airport, you arrive, check in, relax, have dinner and spend the night as you prepare for a drive to the calm countryside the next morning.

A knowledgeable safari guide will pick you up as early as possible to start the drive to Kapchorwa in Mount Elgon National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into your booked hotel, have lunch and then go for a Sipi falls hike in the evening. Hiking to the top of the Sipi falls offers you an opportunity to go past beautiful plantations during this safari in Uganda. In the evening, you return to your prior booked close accommodation in Mount Elgon National Park for dinner and relaxation.

After early breakfast, you are transferred to Kapkwai for the start of the hiking experience after briefing that take about 30minutes. For about 7-8 hours you will be hiking to reach sasa river camp though it depends on your physical strength. Your guide will arrange the ranger guide, camping gear, food and the porters then you will hike to Tutum caves. You spend the night at tutum camp with meals prepared by a porter. Because of the installed sturdy staircases by Uganda Wildlife Authority, this hike is easier as you go past the steep rainforest and bamboo forest landscapes.

After breakfast at the Tutum camp, you will proceed with the hike through the beautiful landscapes to Kajeri. You will have meals prepared by a porter and you camp through the night at kajeri.

From Kajeri, you have breakfast then continue with your hiking tour in Uganda to Mude camp. Going past several physical features of the mountain, you will arrive to Mude camp where you spend the night.

You will walk through the moorland zone from Mude camp to Wagagai peak 4321m above sea level. It is recommendable to reach the peak before midday when the peak isn’t covered by cloud cover. After reaching the peak, you return to Sasa river camp for an overnight.
