The 9 days wildlife safari in Uganda is more else a 9 days Uganda tour Mount Elgon & Kidepo Valley National Park with a tour to Jinja source of the Nile. Day 1: On arrival at Entebbe international airport, a Uganda safari guide will meet you and make a transfer to a lodging facility in Kampala.

Day 2: You are driven towards Mount Elgon national park with a stop at Jinja source of the Nile for a boat cruise then continue arriving in the evening to Kapchorwa.

Day 3: After breakfast, you take a Sipi falls tour to the beautiful green landscape of Kapchorwa as you hike to the top of the falls.

Day 4: From Kapchorwa after breakfast, you will be driven to the heart of the Kidepo valley in Moroto district.

Day 5: You will spend the day in the Karamojong communities around mount Moroto and spend the night in Moroto town.

Day 6: From Moroto the next morning, you are driven to Kidepo Valley National Park as you go past what can be referred to as untouched Africa arriving in the evening.

Day 7: Along the Narus river, you take a game drive in the golden valley of Kidepo, you have lunch and then continue with an evening game drive.

Day 8: From Kidepo, you are driven to Gulu town in northern Uganda driving past scenic landscapes.

Day 9: From Gulu, you are driven to Entebbe international airport for a departure flight.

Detailed day by day itinerary of the 9 days Uganda tour Mount Elgon & Kidepo Valley National Park

Day 1 of the 9 days Uganda tour Mount Elgon & Kidepo Valley National Park

Setting foot to the shores of Lake Victoria at Entebbe international airport, you meet a Uganda tour driver guide who welcomes you to Uganda. Your driver guide ensures all transfers from the airport to a booked hotel in Uganda Kampala. During the drive the guide briefs you on the general safari where after you arrive, check in and spend the night as you relax from jet lag.

Day 2 of the 9 days Uganda tour Mount Elgon & Kidepo Valley National Park

After an early breakfast from your hotel, your driver guide will get you there for a drive to Eastern Uganda. After about a 2 hours and 30 minutes’ drive, you stop at the Nile River for an adventure experience. You take a boat cruise to the source of the Nile then after be driven to Kapchorwa in far Eastern Uganda. Arriving in the evening in Kapchorwa, you check in, relax and spend the night at an accommodation in Mount Elgon National Park that was prior booked.  You can take a coffee tour in the evening to the community with a local guide who takes you through the process in which coffee is produced locally.

Day 3 of the 9 days Uganda tour Mount Elgon & Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast, you take time in the beautiful countryside to visit the foot hills of Mount Elgon to Sipi Falls filled with a beautiful backdrop. On a full day hike, you are able to visit all the three Sipi falls to this beautiful flower filled paradise, birds, waterfalls and streams. Anticipate to spend a day in this beautiful haven with picturesque waterfalls and caves. Here you will take several memorable pictures then after return to your lodging facility in the evening.

Day 4 of the 9 days Uganda tour Mount Elgon & Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast your driver guide will start the drive for a wildlife safari in Uganda’s Kidepo Valley National Park. Driving to the heart of the golden Kidepo valley going past the dotted Pian-Upe wildlife reserve and Bokora wildlife reserve.  You have lunch en route as you go past scenic places of Napak and several bird species. You proceed to Moroto which is the biggest town in the region where you spend the night.

Day 5 of the 9 days Uganda tour Mount Elgon & Kidepo Valley National Park

For a full day after breakfast at your lodging facility, you spend the day discovering what makes these plains and hills home to those who behold it as a treasure. You will tour areas surrounding Mount Moroto where the tribes of the Matheniko and Tapeth (original inhabitants of Karamoja) survive. You visit the villages with the amazing homestead structures locally referred to as “manyattas’’, involve in a traditional dance and cultures. In the evening, you return to your hotel in Moroto town.

Day 6 of the 9 days Uganda tour Mount Elgon & Kidepo Valley National Park

Early morning after breakfast, you embark on a drive to the untouched Kidepo Valley National Park. This is most referred as the best wilderness in Africa and the best safari destination or national park in Uganda. Past some of the most beautiful landscapes, you will arrive to this less visited safari park of Uganda where you will have the chance to have an interaction and learn what makes this place a great destination. You check in, have dinner and spend a night at an accommodation in Kidepo valley National Park.

Day 7 of the 9 days Uganda tour Mount Elgon & Kidepo Valley National Park

Following breakfast, you are driven by your Uganda safari driver guide to Kidepo valley park for a whole day game viewing experience. Taking the Kakine circuit, you get the chance to glimpse at the Kuddu, an antelope, the elusive cheetah and many more species of the wild. Later on, after a meal you are driven to the Kanangarok hot spring point where you have chance to have a clear view of the whole park till sunset as several species roam within the grassy plains.

From Gulu town after breakfast, you leave Gulu town for a drive back to Entebbe international airport. You drive past the magnificent Murchison falls national park and the adjacent Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Driving past the bustling capital of Uganda in Kampala, you can decide to go to a souvenir shop for craft shopping then be dropped to Entebbe international airport for a departure flight.
