Community tourism is the type of tourism which engages the local community in the conservation and preservation of the mountain gorillas in their habitants. This is because these primates have greatly contributed high revenues to the development of the tourism sector. This has also helped in attracting more people to come for gorilla trekking safaris to Rwanda.
The
communities which are living near the national parks especially those
which are living near the mountain gorilla habitants, these have been
encouraged to engage in the conservation and preservation of the
mountain gorillas. This will also help in attracting more tourists to come for gorilla tracking safaris to Rwanda; this has been a great contribution of foreign exchange to the country and the tourism sector as well.
Mountain gorillas in Rwanda are found in volcanoes national park, the park has over 300 mountain gorillas and many tourists have visited Rwanda in order to enjoy the gorilla safaris
with in the country. Rwanda’s Tourism Development Board has put in a
lot of efforts in the conservation of mountain gorillas in Rwanda by
providing enough finances to the tourism sector.
Many
organizations have come up to help in the enforcement of the different
projects which have been put in place to help in the enforcement of the
different projects in tourism. These have also encouraged the local
communities to greatly help in the conservation of the mountain gorillas in Rwanda. This will help in attracting more visitors to come for gorilla tours.
