This will bring about decrease in the number of wildlife species with in their habitants, since there will be decreased number of safaris which might affect the tourism sector’s revenues. Most oil is found in the Albertine region in west of the country, yet this part is filled with many wildlife species which have continued to attract many tourists.
Oil extraction in Uganda is mainly carried out in order to help in eradicating poverty but however, this will help in promoting economic growth but will also lead in destruction of many wild life species which has for long attracted many Uganda safaris. However oil will lead to wildlife extinction hence affecting the tourism sector.
There are many wildlife species with in the country and these are found in the many national parks which include; Murchison falls national park which harbours animals like; the lions, leopards, elephants and many more, Bwindi impenetrable national park which has many mountain gorillas and these have attracted many gorilla trekking safaris to Uganda, queen Elizabeth national park, lake Mburo national park, lake Bunyonyi and Rwenzori national park, all these will be affected by continuation of oil extraction hence reducing safari tours to Uganda.
However, oil money is expected to bring in high developments which will also help in bringing in electricity especially to the local people who live around the oil extraction areas. There will also be development of roads and other services which will help in facilitating the poor. This will at the same time help in increasing safaris to Uganda.

Rwanda development Board passed a report indicating a collection of $142.5 million tourism revenues compared to last year and this has shown an improvement in the development of the tourism sector.

This is because the conflicts which were taking place in the nearby Congo have finally ended and this has greatly attracted more travellers to Rwanda.
 The minister for tourism in Rwanda noted that the increase in tourism revenues and the number of tourists is so essential since it helps in increasing economic growth and generating development for the country. This will also help in increasing the safari visits to Rwanda. Rwanda has put in efforts in ensuring visitor safety and security in Rwanda’s national parks.

Ugandans should strive at engaging in domestic tourism since; this will help in maintaining the revenues with in the country. East African countries Urged to mitigate obstacles to tourism growth-Uganda safari news

They have been encouraged to promote sustainable tourism with in their countries which will help in conserving and preserving the natural habitats and the wildlife with in the national parks and the game drives. This will help in increasing the number of safari visits to Uganda.
The launch of sustainable Tourism master plan was done in Kenya   were all the other east African countries were urged to encourage and also promote sustainable tourism development in their countries. This tourism master plan provides a regional framework for sustainable tourism development with a view of contributing to the socio-economic development and the poverty control and also promoting regional integration. This will also help in increasing the number of tourists who come for safaris to East African countries.
Controlling these obstacles, will help in promoting domestic tourism which will also help in increasing the number of safari tours as well as revenues in the country. This will also encourage more international tourists to book safaris to East African countries. Some of the obstacles which are affecting the tourism sector include; poor infrastructures like the roads and the hotels, lack of enough funds from the central governments, lack of marketing and many more which have decreased safaris to East African countries.
