What to do/activities at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary Uganda

Chimpanzee interactions; Chimpanzee interactions is the definite activity at the sanctuary, the sanctuary offers day and overnight tourists exceptional opportunities to observe the unique human like great apes in a unique setting. When the tourist gets here they can participate in either morning or evening feeding of the chimps as the chimps sit down to consume their vegetables, an only Uganda wildlife safari trip experience. These activities are pre-arranged with a safari company, one gets to do chimpanzee feeding on the visitor’s platform area where the chimps come close for easy viewing and photography. The chimps merge for feeding from the forest at 11:00am and 2:30pm with very playful lovely characters. Chimpanzee trekking safaris in Uganda for tourists on longer trips are possible in the wild at Kibale Forest National Park.

Boat cruise; The boat cruise on Lake Victoria is so exciting as there a whole 50 or 90 minutes on the largest fresh water lake of Africa. The boat cruise comes with an unrivaled adventure safari in Uganda as the boat crosses the equator with forces of the north and south hemisphere push the boat tending to keep it in one position. The boat engine uses a little more energy to beat the equator forces. Before thinking of only experiencing these forces, the greatest memory is swimming in the middle of the world! This is the right point for adventure seekers but it requires expertise.
Extended stay activities; There’s much more for a tourist who takes a longer stay at the sanctuary, bird watching is really amazing with forest and water birds like the catcher, Malachite king fisher, long-tailed cormorant. Staying longer with the devoted chimp care givers team gives a memorable experience as one gets to involve in the sanctuary activities like cleaning cages, preparing food for the chimps, assisting in medical procedures, carrying out enrichment, typing chimp diaries, collecting observational data and anything that one’s skill gets them to. This stay is very educative, informative and much more rewarding than any other wildlife safaris and Uganda tours.
Tour Uganda and experience the home to rescued chimpanzees that found their everlasting love in the evergreen Island, near the equator line …. what an amazing home with unrivaled experiences only exceptional to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary.
