Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Fort Portal and visit the craters

Rwenzori mountaineering trip Uganda, he will drive you to Fort Portal for your tour to the Fort Portal craters. As the heartland of a luxuriant tea-growing area, Fort Portal enjoys a pleasantly mild year-round climate in that many travelers intend just to stay overnight but end up staying here for several days. Fort portal is a dynamic and friendly town with numerous places offering sublime scenery, amazing nature and genuine adventure. While in this town, you can explore the beautiful Crater Lakes, track the chimps in Kibale Forest National Park or drop into Semuliki National Park with its hot springs and central African wildlife, while all the time having the pleasant hotels of Fort Portal to return to afterwards. Of all the crater lakes, Lake Nkuruba is considered the most beautiful, surrounded by forest with black-and-white and red colobus.
Day 2: Do chimpanzee trekking safaris in Kibale National Park
After your early morning Breakfast at the lodge, your driver guide will drive you to the park headquarters for your 8:00am briefing about the chimpanzee trekking activity by the park rangers before you join the rest of the group to begin your adventure. While trekking, you will meet our closest relatives the “Chimpanzees” swinging through the dense forest an activity that will last for about 3-4 hours. Along the trekking trails, you will come across other primates like Black and white Colobus monkeys, Grey cheecked Mangabeys, several species of birds and abundant plant life, butterflies and many small insects. Later return and proceed to have lunch.
After your lunch, you will take an amazing nature walk to the Bigodi wetland swamp; a very interesting eco-tourism site. While there, you will encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna. This walk is excellent for birders interested in
Uganda birding safaris. As part of this adventure, you will view different bird species like the Great blue Turacco, Rwenzori Turaco, Narina Trogon, and little Bulbul to mention but a few. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Do a day hike on Mountain Rwenzori via the Mahoma Nature walk trail and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You are required to take Breakfast very early in the morning so you can start your day hike early. You will report at the gate, where you will have a short briefing about the hike, proceed with your hike. Have lunch in the mountains with a view of the portal peaks and the low land of Kasese including Lake George. The hike takes not more than 3 hours from the gate. The hike is gradually good and enjoyed by elderly, and the young; the highest point is 2,088M above sea level this is where you rest for lunch after covering an elevation of about 377 M. At this point you rest, have lunch and no more climbing but descending to gate and join the driver for your onward tour. After your hike, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park to your lodging facility for diner and for your overnight stay.
Day 4: Do a game drive in the Park and an afternoon boat cruise
Early in the morning, you will be picked by your driver guide for your early morning game drive. This morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park provides excellent opportunities to view several wildlife including Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topis, Bush bucks and many more. This game drive will last about 2-4 hours depending on your interests. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for your breakfast and lunch.
In the afternoon after your lunch, you will report to Kazinga channel for your exclusive 2-hour boat cruise on the 45km river that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. This rewarding boat cruise trip offers an exceptional platform for photography as you pass through the highest concentration of hippos and crocodiles. As part of the adventure, you will watch several animals drinking at the water’s edge as well as variety of bird species. After the boat cruise, proceed to Kibale National Park and along the way, you will be able to see an impressive view of the remarkable “Mountains of the Moon”. Transfer time to this park is about 3 hours.
Day 5: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector
Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge, after you and your guide will head southwest of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector where on a lucky day, you will be able to spot many of them lounging on trees enjoying their relaxion. Have lunch in Ishasha and later continue and proceed to
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening. Check in to your hotel, unwind, and enjoy dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Do a gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi Forest and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in the afternoon for a boat cruise
Sets off after your early morning breakfast together with your water and packed lunch, proceed to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters then we go to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the do’s and the don’ts by the ranger guides before you begin the search in the thick Bwindi forest for the giant mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is renowned for its impressive mountain gorillas, although it is unpredictable for how long you will track before finding them since it all depends on their movement and this takes about 2-8 hours. After finding them, you are restricted to 1 hour that gives you chance to spend time, observing these giant gorillas moving, feeding, cuddling is an awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience.
Retire from the experience and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise.
Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala to your hotel or for your flight at the airport
You will set off from the mighty gorilla land and return to Kampala with en route in Mbarara for lunch and at the equator in Kayabwe where you will take lots of photos, visit the souvenir shops around and have a polar water experiment. Proceed with your journey to Kampala at your hotel in the evening or for your late flight at Entebbe International airport.
