Uganda’s tourism boosted by Ankole Museum in western Uganda- Uganda Safaris & Tours news
This museum which is located in the western Uganda has greatly attracted many safaris to Uganda which has helped in increasing the revenues of the country and also developing the tourism sector with in the country.
This museum is located in in the palace of legendary king in the place called the Igongo cultural centre; this cultural centre has greatly attracted many safaris since the number of visitors coming to the place has increased hence developing the area.
This centre is rich in Ankole –Kikiga heritage which is in a modern day setting. It’s located in Biharwe, which is 12kms from Mbarara town, this centre also boasts of restaurants, books, museum and crafts centre dealing mainly in historical literature for the region. This centre has helped in increasing Uganda safaris.
Historical items or their imitations are carefully kept under lock in glass cabins and historical literature and pictures hang on the wall. Several artifacts were logically displayed along with the necessary information. This helps in giving a clear picture of the culture of the Banyankole and the Bakiga, which has helped in attracting more safari tours.
The western part of Uganda has got many attractions which have continued to attract many tourists to come for safaris to Uganda, these include ; mountain gorillas which are found in Bwindi Impenetrable National park, chimpanzees which are located in Kibale national park, many national parks which include; queen Elizabeth national park, Lake Mburo national Park, ssemliki and many more.
