kidepo 1Kidepo National park is a park located in the northern part of the country Uganda. It has greatly promoted tourism in Uganda and attracted many tourists to take up safaris to Kidepo National park. A safari to Kidepo National Park will expose you to a variety of many animals which will make you book more safaris to the so called dark National park.
Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park, but the few who make the long journey north through the wild frontier region of Karamoja would agree that it is also the most magnificent, for Kidepo ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses. From Apoka, in the heart of the park, a savannah landscape extends far beyond the gazetted area, towards horizons outlined by distant mountain ranges.
The park offers many tourist activities which include; birding which can be done on the fringes of the Narus and Namamukweny Valleys, this activity has greatly attracted many tourists to book at least a safari to Kidepo National Park.
Another activity that has been participated in by most of the visitor is the Game drive and this activity will give you a chance to view many animals which include; elephants, leopard, bush duiker, jackal, bushbuck, bush pig, ostrich, buffalo and much more, in the wild Narus Valley. These animals have greatly promoted safari tourism in Kidepo National Park.
More so, hiking to the Lomej Mountains, taking leisurely walks through the Narus Valley, meet members of the endangered IK tribe and wandering in the splendid Kidepo River Valley between banks of borassus palm forest is also a common activity that is participated in by the visitors who come for tour visits to Uganda.
A visit to Kidepo National Park is not only interesting but also wonderful because it will expose you to a variety of wild animals which you might not find anywhere else in Africa.
