At
the just concluded Dutch tourism fair – the Vakantiebeurs 2017, the
destination Rwanda sounded big with the major Dutch tour operators and
travel agencies gaining interest in the Rwanda Safari tours.
This comes at the eighth (8th) time that the destination is showcasing her products in Benelux (Belgium, Netherland, Luxembourg) with the aim of invigorating the International travel agencies and the individual travelers to start planning safaris to Rwanda.
The destination is one of the 160 countries that participated in the Vakantiebeurs – an exhibition that attracts over 125,000 visitors. The disposition that agents and individual travelers have towards Rwanda is changing from the negative to positive as they are shifting from the past concerns of security to what they can explore.
Rwanda stormed the exhibition with the theme Remarkable Rwanda unleashing her magical attractions including the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park explored on Rwanda gorilla trekking safaris, the classic wild game of Akagera National Park, Chimpanzees and Canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest National Park and remarkable culture and history.
The performance in the Netherlands is steadily increasing with the visitor arrivals noted to have increased by 22% in 2015 a trend that is believed to continue.
The destination Rwanda has already been voted among the best 17 destinations to explore this year by CNN.
At the end of the event, the Rwandan Ambassador treated the Mayor of Utrecht, the travel media and the Dutch tourism professionals to a full Reception to cement the business relationship.
