silver-back-lodge-bwindiSILVERBACK LODGE   stands as the latest addition of Marasa Africa Uganda Safari lodge portfolio offering midrange accommodation in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Positioned in Buhoma sector at about 5 minutes trek to the gorilla trekking assembly point, Silverback Lodge forms a perfect base for exploring the gorilla families of Mubare, Habinyanja and Rushegura while on Gorilla Safaris in Uganda.
The lodge enjoys a vantage location that provides its guests with remarkable panoramic views of the rugged hilly forested landscapes of Bwindi dubbed Impenetrable. The remarkable mist in the morning, clouds cover in the afternoon, heavy down pour and the lush sun set views are all enjoyed at the comfort of your room balcony / common lounge or gardens increasing your Uganda gorilla safari experience.
Silverback Lodge features twelve (12) rooms truly set to the standard of Marasa Lodge chain. The rooms are configured as seven (7) twin rooms, four (4) double rooms and one (1) Single room. The rooms were put together by local materials including the purple slate stone, forest vines and sisal rope thus blending with the ecosystem. The rooms are en suite with hot and cold running water and cozy chairs on the Veranda. With the above room configuration, Silverback lodge can take up to 23 occupants thus capable of accommodating groups on gorilla trekking safaris and tours in Uganda Africa.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park at 527km about 10 hours’ drive from Kampala is home to a minimum of 400 Mountain Gorillas along with 400 species of trees  and 350 bird species of which 23 are Albertine Rift endemics including the African Green Broadbill highly sought after on Uganda birding Safaris.
