The 12 Days wildlife safari Uganda or wildlife safari Uganda Mount Elgon Hiking trip is an adventure, hiking, chimpanzee trekking and wildlife safari in Uganda. This 12 days tour is inclusive of a white-water rafting experience on a Jinja source of the Nile tour, Sipi Falls hike at Mount Elgon National Park, community tour and wildlife encounters at Kidepo Valley National Park, a game drive, boat cruise and hike to the top of the falls at Murchison Falls National Park, rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Arriving at Entebbe International Airport on the first day of your safari a knowledgeable English-speaking Uganda safari driver guide picks you for a drive to a hotel/lodge in Kampala where you are driven from to Jinja the next day for a boat cruise. After breakfast the next day, you go for a white-water rafting experience then transfer to Kapchorwa the next day and hike to Sipi falls that evening. From Kapchorwa you transfer to Moroto town. A day is spent in Moroto then after transfer to Kidepo the next day. You spend a full day game drive in Kidepo Valley then be transferred to Gulu town the next morning. DAY 1: On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you are transferred to a hotel/lodge in Kampala.

DAY 2: From Kampala, you are driven to Jinja town where you undertake an evening boat cruise.

DAY 10: From Gulu, you are driven to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in the evening for check in and dinner at a booked accommodation in Murchison falls park.

DAY 11: In the morning, you go for a morning game drive, have lunch and then after undertake an evening boat cruise and hike to the top of the splendid Murchison Falls.

Day 1 of the 12 Days wildlife safari Uganda/wildlife safari Uganda Mount Elgon Hiking trip

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport your driver guide briefs you about your safari then ensures your transfer to a booked hotel or lodge in Kampala. On arrival at your booked hotel you check in, have dinner and spend the night as you rest from jet lag.

Early morning, your driver guide picks you up from your accommodation facility for a drive to Jinja driving past Mabira forest and beautiful plantations. Arriving in the afternoon, you have lunch then after go for an evening boat cruise to the source of the Nile. In the evening, you then return to a booked accommodation facility where you spend the night.

In the morning after breakfast, you are driven to the white-water raft start point on the Nile river. You have practical training before you get into the Nile river for white water rafting lasting about 5 hours. You go rafting alongside professional rafters and kayakers with snacks provided during the activity. After white water rafting, you have lunch and then be driven back to your lodging facility where you spend the night.

After an early breakfast from your hotel, your driver guide will get you there for a drive to the far eastern Uganda. Arriving in the evening in Kapchorwa, you check in, relax and spend the night at an accommodation in Mount Elgon National Park that was prior booked.  You can take a coffee tour in the evening to the community with a local guide who takes you through the process in which coffee is produced locally.

After breakfast, you take time in the beautiful countryside to visit the foot hills of Mount Elgon to Sipi Falls filled with a beautiful backdrop. On a full day hike, you are able to visit all the three Sipi falls to this beautiful flower filled paradise, birds, waterfalls and streams. Anticipate to spend a day in this beautiful haven with picturesque waterfalls and caves. Here you will take several memorable pictures then after return to your lodging facility in the evening.

After breakfast your driver guide will start the drive for a wildlife safari in Uganda’s Kidepo Valley National Park. Driving to the heart of the golden Kidepo valley going past the dotted Pian-Upe wildlife reserve and Bokora wildlife reserve.  You have lunch en route as you go past scenic places of Napak and several bird species. You proceed to Moroto which is the biggest town in the region where you spend the night.

Early morning after breakfast, you embark on a drive to the “untouched” Kidepo Valley National Park. This is most referred to as the best wilderness in Africa and the best safari destination or national park in Uganda. Following breakfast, you are driven by your Uganda safari driver guide to Kidepo valley park for a whole day game viewing experience. Later on, after a meal you are driven to the Kanangarok hot spring point where you have chance to have a clear view of the whole park till sunset as several species roam within the grassy plains.

Waking up in the warm side of the country, you have relaxed breakfast then embark on the drive to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive takes you to a booked accommodation in Murchison falls national park where you spend the night.

A morning game drive at Murchison Falls park starts your day from 7:00am within the vast savannah plains of the park. The elephants, lions, leopards and buffaloes alongside many more wild species are possible sightings of the morning. The game drive within wildlife natural habitat lasts 2-4 hours then after return to your lodge for lunch or have packed lunch.

In the afternoon at 2:00pm, you go for a boat cruise/launch trip to the bottom of the awe-inspiring Murchison falls where you look out for numerous schools of hippos, crocodiles and water birds at the bottom of the falls. At the boat set off point you have chance to experience the traditional music and dance from the local people of this community. The boat cruise to the bottom of the falls offers a start point for the hike to the top of the magnificent Murchison falls that takes about 40mins to 1hour. In the morning, you have breakfast then after be driven to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking on foot. After about 1 hours’ drive, you arrive at the park where you track Rhinos for about 2 hours then continue with the drive to Entebbe International Airport.
