Day 1 of the 10 Days Uganda gorilla safari Bwindi, Kibale chimpanzee trekking safari & wildlife tour/ 10 Days Bwindi gorilla trekking safari Uganda : Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park for Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked and briefed by your driver guide about the adventurous safari tour Uganda and then embark on your road trip to Murchison Falls National Park. This Uganda wildlife safari tour will start as early as 6:00am from Kampala-Uganda’s capital. On your way to the park, you will have an en route at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola district,164km from Kampala and 128km to Murchison falls national park via Kampala-Masindi road. Wake up to a cold beautiful morning at your hotel in Murchison falls national park where you will be picked by your Uganda safari guide. You will set off for an early game view drive on the North of the Nile. While on this trail, expect to see Lions, buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi and baboons among others. This game drive lasts for about 2-4 hours then you return to the hotel for breakfast. Later at around 2pm in the afternoon after your hot lunch at your hotel, you will have a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls. While enjoying this fantastic wildlife experience, you will spot a big number of hippos, large crocodiles, and some small herds of buffaloes. As part of this beautiful adventure, you will watch lots of birdlife along the papyrus banks of the Nile river. Don’t not forget to watch out for one of the most sought birds in Uganda; the shoebill stork. After this experience of about 2 hours, you will hike to the top of the falls, a lovely scene for viewing the world’s most powerful falls and the park as well. This hiking experience is about 1 hour. Wake to another interesting morning, have breakfast and get set for another morning game drive in the park which will last 3-4 hours depending on your interests. During the game drive, you will see more animal species include; warthogs, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, waterbucks, Ugandan kob, oribi, hartebeest, sitatunga, bushbucks, duikers, mongoose, genet, hyenas, jackals, elephants among others. This morning game drive is rich as you will see the animals out in the open. You will also sight several bird species during the game drive. Have lunch and transfer to lake Albert for beautiful views of the Rift valley escarpment and after return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Wake up to a relaxed breakfast and after transfer to the to Fort Portal to the crater lakes and later to the Amabere ga Nyinamwiru. The Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves are one of the most interesting sights in western Uganda. The English translation of Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru is the breasts of Nyina Mwiru. Amabere Caves and the three surrounding Explosion Crater Lakes make a visit to the area a most interesting half day adventure and it can be easily taken in on your way to Queen Elizabeth Park. These caves are hidden away in the Toro Kingdom found in Western Uganda. After the visit, you will transfer to Kibale Forest National Park to your prior booked hotel for your dinner and overnight stay. Early morning after breakfast at the lodge, report to Kanyanchu at around 7:30am for your briefing at 8am from the park ranger guides about your chimpanzee trekking safari Uganda before you start trekking. After the briefing, start your journey into the forest with the rangers in search for chimpanzees and other primates including the red-tailed monkeys, blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, olive baboons among others. The forest an array of birds including the grey-throated flycatcher, masked and black-capped apalis among the many in a park that is home to over 375 bird species. Retreat from the activity and have lunch. After lunch proceed to Bigodi village to the fascinating Bigodi wetland sanctuary located in Magombe swamp. Bigodi wetland is an area is recognized for an extensive collection of bio diversity among which are several primate species like the red colobus monkey, baboon, black and white colobus monkey, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey and the L’Hoest monkey. After your delicious breakfast, set out and visit the Sempaya hot springs which are the most attention-grabbing attractions in Semuliki National Park. These springs have a geyser that shoots up from the 8 meters hole, and the water is at a high temperature. The most interesting part about the springs is that one can boil matooke and eggs in the springs and the can get ready for eating n a few minutes. In fact, this is the largest hot spring in Uganda. Still along the trail where the hot springs are located you will be in line to see a number of birds such as the Blue breasted Kingfisher and various primates such as the red-tailed monkeys, and the grey cheeked mangabey. Later proceed, to Mungilo waterfall where you will have an opportunity of seeing a number of beautiful birds and it will be a great time for a birder. Return to lodge dine and rest. After your early morning breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park having views of the Uganda’s green rolling hills as you drive to your hotel of stay that night. Arrive at your hotel, check in, freshen up din and relax.

Have breakfast early in the morning at the lodge and set off for your Uganda gorilla trekking safari briefing at the park headquarters by the park rangers before you enter the forest. After your briefing about the do’s and don’ts of a Uganda gorilla tour, you will be led into the forest your gorilla trekking adventure with the park rangers. As part of your adventure in the forest, you will encounter with several other primates including monkeys as well as a good number of birds. Once you spot the gorillas, you will be restricted to an hour as soon as you see the gorillas. You will watch them play, build their nests, cuddle and many more. Retire from the activity and return to the starting point for your certificates. Depending on how you will be feeling, you will go and visit the Batwa communities in the evening and after you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9 of the 10 Days Uganda gorilla safari Bwindi, Kibale chimpanzee trekking safari & wildlife tour/ 10 Days Bwindi gorilla trekking safari Uganda : Do a boat cruise along Lake Bunyonyi and later transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

You will do a boat cruise along Lake Bunyonyi in the morning after your breakfast using a boat cruise or dug out canoe depending on your choice. Together with your guide, you will have cruise along this lake with a guide who will tell you about the history of the Lake Bunyonyi. As part of your adventure, you will see several small birds on the islands. You will also see the famous Akampene island that was used as a punishment island for girls who got pregnant before they were officially married. Return from the cruise and have lunch at the lodge and later transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

Early in the morning after a cup of coffee, you will do a game drive around the park with your driver guide to catch the early morning risers as they get out to look for their prey. The game drive will last about 2-3 hours depending on your choice. Return to the lodge for proper breakfast, freshen up, have lunch and after go for your afternoon boat cruise along Lake Mburo that lasts about 2 hours. You will see several water animals and birds as well as other animals in the park as they come to quench their thirst along the lake. After the boat cruise, you will set off for Kampala to your hotel where you will spend the night.
