Day 1: Arrive in Uganda - Entebbe International Airport and connect to the lodge. Arrive Entebbe airport located on the shores of Lake Victoria. – the second largest fresh water lake in the world and Africa’s largest lake. Meet and greet with our company representative and transfer to the lodge for relaxation and overnight. Day 2: Transfer to Fort Portal, visit the Amabere g’ Nyinamwiru caves, adventure hike to the Fort Portal Crater Lake field to explore the famous Kyeganywa hill & then Drive to Kibale National Park. After breakfast, transfer to Fort Portal area (300km) about 6 hours of leisurely drive offering beautiful scenery such Mubende inselbergs and extensive tea plantations en route. Arrive fort portal town for hot lunch and continue to the lodge in Kibale Area. Alternatively, you can decide to first visit the Amabere g`Nyinamwiru caves and hike to the fort portal crater where you must appreciate nature. The Amabere caves contain breast-like features that the locals believe are the breasts of Nyinamwiru. Nyinamwiru was a daughter of Bukuku-King of the Bachwezi who denied his daughter an opportunity to breast feed her son in anticipation of fear that the son of Nyinamwiru would over throw his grandfather, -a self-enthroned king Bukuku. Hike to the Fort Portal crater field to explore the views of many craters and lakes that mark this explosion crater as well as the scenery of Rwenzori Mountains that you will observe from a distance. Day 3: Do Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park & Bigodi wetland walk in the afternoon. Chimpanzee trekking is one of the amazing safari activities in Uganda. Kibale National Park dubbed the Primate capital of the world offers the best Chimp sightings in Africa. Briefing starts at 8am at Kanyanchu Tourism centre before you embark on the trek following the existing forest trails in search of Chimpanzees – Man’s closest relative among the Apes. Kibale is a diverse forest with beautiful flora, remarkable bird species up to 375 species and 13 species of primates. The one hour you spend with Chimps as they forage and socialize will make your trek a lifetime experience. The whole trek depending on the movement of Chimps takes 2 – 5 hours. Retreat from the activity, for lunch before you embark on an exciting Bigodi wetland and community walk which will reward you with incredible experience with the local community and their traditions not forgetting the lush flora and amazing bird species like the Great Blue Turaco in the wetland. Return back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight. Day 4: Allocate to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route tour to Ruboni Community & evening game drive upon arrival. After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 157km about 2 - 3 hours’ drive without en route stops. You branch off as you approach Kasese & continue to the foothills of Rwenzori Mountains to tour the Ruboni Community that has thrived in this mountainous ecosystem for over the last 300 years. Learn about their traditions and way of life. Return to Kasese for hot lunch and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National park– Kasenyi sector for an afternoon game drive. The sights of savannah plains dotted with counts of wild game in the evening are rewarding to explore. Day 5: Undertake game drive in the morning through the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, afternoon Kazinga Channel launch cruise & evening game drive along the channel track After breakfast, depart at 7am for a game drive in the park in search for wildlife. The Kasenyi savannah plains provide high opportunities to explore a wide range of animals like four of the Big five namely; lions, leopards Elephants, and Buffaloes. Other wild animals include Defassa spotted hyena, waterbucks, antelopes, Topis among others. Retreat from the game drive to Mweya peninsular for hot lunch at Tembo restaurant. In the afternoon, gather at Mweya jetty for a Kazinga Channel boat cruise departing at 2pm. The majestic Kazinga Channel boat cruise offers high chances of viewing Nile crocodiles, Hippos, and bird species along the shores as you enjoy a recreational moment. The boat cruise lasts for two hours and from there, you will undertake an evening game drive along the channel track for more chances of wild game viewing. Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. En route game drive in Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lions After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (309km about 10 hours’ drive) you will have a stop en route to undertake a game drive south of queen Elizabeth in Ishasha sector is search of climbing lions and other wild game. Tree climbing lions are only in Ishasha sector and lake Manyara in the world and the are critically endangered. Ishasha sector is best for viewing trees climbing lions because of its short and light fig tree branches where these lions tend to lie in the day time. The game drive lasts from 1.5 to 2hours. Continue with a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park arriving at the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight. Day 7: Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an afternoon relaxation. After breakfast, attend briefing for gorilla trekking at 8am. In company of the armed park ranger guides, head to the magical forest that involves hiking steep slopes, descending down in narrow valleys and negotiation paths in the dense vegetation of Bwindi as you are impressed by the natural wonders of lush flora and breath-taking bird songs. Upon seeing the gorilla group or family and they forage on their preferred plants and young ones playing in the tree branches. The silverback (family head of Gorilla group) will welcome you with small claps onto his chest as a sign of welcome and showing leadership of the group. Enjoy a full hour with the critically endangered mountain Gorillas as you take photoshoots as much as you can. Trekking takes 2-8 hours in the jungle but actual encounter with Gorillas is strictly one hour for conservation purposes. Retreat from the trek to slope to Lake Bunyonyi dubbed as the lake of a thousand Islands for evening relaxation. Day 8: Undertake a morning boat cruise and drive to Volcanoes National Park After a relaxed breakfast, undertake a relaxed boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi to gain the views of some of the main Islands on this lake. You can choose to do a walk on the Punishment Island where girls that would be pregnant prematurely could be dumped and to death in Bakiga tradition. From here, transfer to Volcanoes National Park 120km about 3 hours’ drive as you enjoy the views of the Kigezi Highlands and Virunga Volcanoes.  Day 9: Do gorilla trekking in the gorilla highlands of Volcanoes National Park and transfer to Gisenyi for an afternoon sandy beaches relaxation. An optional boat cruise can be arranged. The Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park-Rwanda starts with a briefing at Kinigi park station at 8am.but before the briefing, you are first entertained by the traditional Intore performance and a hot cup of coffee. After briefing you connect to the trail heads to start the gorilla trekking encounter which lasts for 2-8 hours depending on that day`s movement of gorillas. You will spend a full hour with gorillas as you take photos more than you can imagine now. After the activity, transfer to Gisenyi Lake Kivu to spend the relaxed evening at the sandy beaches. Day 10: Cross to Congo – Virunga National Park & Hike Nyiragongo mountain Cross the Congo boarder at Goma at 7:30am Rwandan time and drive to Kibati Patrol post 1hr drive from the boarder. Start a lasting adventure hike to the world’s largest and most violent lava lake at the peak of Mount Nyiragongo Volcano rising up to 3470m above sea level. The mountain hike to the peak takes about 4 – 6 hours and spend the great evening at the summit waiting to glance into the lava lake at dark. Accommodation: Mountain Shelter  

Day 11 : Descend from Nyiragongo Mountain and transfer back to Gisenyi You can wake up very early for the sun rise experience after which you settle for breakfast and then embark on the descend back to Kibati gaining views of other Virunga Mountain, dense Congo jungle & Lake Kivu. Day 12: Drive to Kigali, visit the Gisozi genocide museum and depart Wake up early in the morning for the sun rise experience and after enjoy breakfast before you descend back to Kibati with the impressive scenery of other Virunga Mountain, dense Congo rainforests & Lake Kivu. Drive to Kigali 358km about 3 hours’ traverse the hilly landscapes of Rwanda with beautiful scenery. Upon arrival in Kigali, do a city tour including a visit to Kigali genocide memorial at Gisozi to learn about what transpired during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. After lunch, connect to the Airport for flight departure back home.
