Trekking mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is to become easier due to the increased number of mountain gorillas in Uganda, this means that tourists could now find it easy to trek the gorillas.
Due to the increase, many gorilla tracking safaris will be carried out in Uganda, which will help to develop the tourism sector. The 480 gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park have attracted many tourists to travel to Uganda.
The minister approved the gorilla increase and commented that Uganda‘s revenue is to increase due to the increase in the mountain gorilla trekking safaris which are carried out in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. She said that this will help to increase on the revenue of the tourism sector and also conserving of the mountain gorillas.
Hon. Maria Mutagamba who is the minister of tourism noted that the increase in gorilla families in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is to increase gorilla visits to the Park since the tourists will be able to have enough groups to visit every time they visit the park.
Mountain gorillas found in Mgahinga National park also increased and this will help to increase the number of mountain gorilla tours to this park on addition to the golden monkey tracking which is also preferred by the tourists.
However, mountain gorillas can also be tracked in Rwanda in Volcanoes National Park, and in the Virunga Mountains of Congo. Trekking these primates is so interesting and the activity provides an experience which is unforgotten.
