Nyungwe Park hosted world tourism day in Rwanda-Prime Uganda Safaris & Tours Safari updates
The world tourism day in Rwanda was hosted at
Nyungwe national park which hours many wildlife species that attract many
safari visits to Rwanda, these tours to the park have helped in increasing
revenue of the country hence developing the tourism sector in Rwanda.
The two activities which were organized in
order to mark the world tourism day attracted many safaris to Rwanda in that
many tourists traveled from different countries to come and enjoy the activities
which were organized. These activities mainly focused on the role of tourism in
the surrounding communities.
The main theme of the celebrations of the
world tourism day was tourism and water and was to encourage all the
communities of Rwanda especially those near the national parks to manage and
conserve water sources so that the wildlife in the parks can be properly
protected and managed. This however will help in encouraging more tourists to
come for safaris to Rwanda.
The activities which were participated in
included the accreditation of the Kitabi College of conservation and
environment management; it’s an important college since it has worked hard at
promoting the conservation and preservation of wildlife and plants with in the
parks which have helped in increasing Rwanda safaris.
Other activities which were participated in
included the conservation of Nyungwe national park, visiting the kitabi
cultural village and also laying of the foundation stone to pave way for the
construction of the new hotel outside the national park, this will help to
increase more tourists to come for safaris to Rwanda
The celebrations mainly focused on creating
awareness among the citizens especially the local community the importance of
tourism and its social, cultural, political and the economic values to the
people of Rwanda.
