Gorilla Permits to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park reduced.-Prime Uganda Safaris & Tours Safari updates
Mountain Gorillas in Uganda are mostly found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and they have attracted many gorilla trekking safaris. During the high seasons of July to September, the gorill
a permits are sold at 500 dollars to the international tourists who come for gorilla visits to Uganda.
However, Uganda Wildlife Aut
hority has decided to promote the gorilla permits for the low season from November 2013 to 2014 in March by reducing the gorilla permits from 500USD to 350 USD for international tourists,
the domestic and east African tourists will be demanded to pay less in order to make their mountain gorilla tracking safaris in Uganda.
The reduction in the price of gorill
a permits will help to increase tourists who come for gorilla trekking during the low seasons of tourism in Uganda. This will improve the tourism sector revenues since the tourism year will balance hence developing the tourism sector.
Furthermore, the new Uganda Wildlife Authority initiative of selling the gorilla permits online will help to ease the tourists who come for gorilla tracking visits to buy the permits directly from UWA, but this will also affe
ct the tour operators since they will be somehow forced out of business.
Reducing gorilla permits will not only help in increasing mountain gorilla safaris to Uganda, but also will promote other tourist activities like wildlife viewing, mountain hiking, boat cruises, cultural tours and many others, these will also help in increasing Uganda safaris hence the development of the tourism sector.
