Rwanda’s tourism sector growing faster. - Prime Uganda Safaris & Tours Safari updates
Rwanda which is a sovereign state in central and east Africa is located south of the equator and it’s boarded by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and Congo. The country is dominated with mountains in the west, savanna in the east, and numerous lakes which are found throughout the country. These features of Rwanda have greatly attracted many safaris to Rwanda which has helped to increase its revenue hence the development of the tourism sector in Rwanda.
The data which was released has continuously indicated an increase in Rwanda’s revenues from the tourism sector. The revenues grew by 11 % in the first half of this year while the tourist numbers increased by 14% compared to those of 2012, this means that the number of safaris to Rwanda this year have generally increased.
The
head of Tourism and Conservation Department in Rwanda, Rica Rwigamba
said that the increased revenues and the rise in visitor numbers are
going to be important at driving the economic growth and generating Jobs
for the people of Rwanda. This will help in improving the lives of the
people of Rwanda and at the same time improve the tourism sector which will help to increase Rwanda safaris .
Rwanda
is to continue providing safety and security in the parks and to other
tourist destinations. This will help to increase the numbers of visitors
who come for safari visits to Rwanda.
Nyungwe
National Park which is a famous park in Rwanda was recently nominated
for the upcoming travel awards, and it’s to compete with Kidepo National Park, Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya and many other attractions in Africa. These awards will help in marketing and promoting Rwanda as a tourist destination, hence helping in increasing Rwanda safaris.
