Gorilla tracking in Uganda and Rwanda.-Prime Uganda Safaris & Tours Safari updates
Gorilla trekking both in Uganda and Rwanda has got similar procedures which are followed while carrying out this activity. Both in Uganda and Rwanda, viewing mountain gorillas is only given one hour to spend with the gorillas in
the National Parks. This is mostly done to control the stressing of
these primates since they can easily carry on human diseases.
The cost of permits to view the mountain gorillas while carrying out gorilla trekking safaris in Uganda is $500 and that of Rwanda is 750 USD, however, gorilla permits in Uganda can cost $ 350 in the months October, November, march, April , since these month are in the low season in Uganda.
There are however 8 habituated gorilla groups in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park of Uganda, and there are 5 groups in Volcanoes, which are visited by the tourists, In Mgahinga gorilla national Park , there is only one gorilla group , which is not constant and it keeps on moving Rwanda now and then. These groups have greatly attracted many gorilla trekking safaris to both Uganda and Rwanda.
The permits in Uganda and Rwanda are booked in advance either through a travel agent or go directly to the booking office. It’s therefore advisable to book the gorilla permits earlier before travelling for the mountain gorilla safari to either Rwanda or Uganda.
Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable national park is a little bit more wet since the forest is more dense and dark, which makes mountain gorilla exercise stippy. In Rwanda, volcanoes National Park is a bit more open and the tourists might afford to have better views of the gorillas.
The chances of watching the gorillas are 100% in both Uganda and Rwanda since these are trekked each day by the trekkers who are experienced, so this makes it easy in locating where they live and feed from.
