AFRICAN TRAVEL ASSOCIATION CONGRESS IS ON – UGANDA SAFARI NEWS
Uganda is gifted to be among the ideal countries in Africa well known for her gorilla trekking safaris, wildlife safaris and chimpanzee trekking safaris.
This has made Uganda to join the club of the must to visit places on
the African continent. As a result of this background, Uganda is
apparently in an enchanting mood with the opportunity of hosting the
African Travel Association Congress that is running from 11th – 16th
November 2014 at the Common Wealth Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala.
This 39th African Travel Association Congress forms the ground for business networking, learning and agenda – shaping platform to accommodate various tourism industry stakeholders of every travel industry event on the African continent. The congress is featuring the contemporary industry themes, craft a line up for educational and professional development opportunities and exhibit the Uganda safari products and services.
The ATA congress is a foundation for marketing Africa as a safari destination, merging the regional business and industry and attends to the rising tourism promoting opportunities and challenges so as to increase number of travellers to Africa including those that undertake safaris to Uganda. Issues like accessibility, promotion, investment, and youth and women engagement in the tourism sector are to be highlighted on.
The series of activities are to mark the event including the opening ceremony by H.E. The President of Uganda, Tourism Ministers’ Roundtable and Media Symposium, Culinary and Tourism Collaborative Programme, Uganda International Tourism Expo at Uganda Museum 14th – 16th November 2014, Cultural Night at Ndere Cultural Centre by Hon. Dr Maria Mutagamba on November 13th Nov 2014, Tourism Investment and Young Professionals Forum, ATA Patron’s Dinner & Awards honored by the First Lady Hon. Janet Museveni, Nile Adventure Day led by the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Rebecca Kadaga on November 15th in Jinja - Source of the Nile and International Media familiarization trip to Uganda safari parks. About 300 foreign and regional delegates are present at the event.
