How to get Kabwoya wildlife reserve Uganda

Kabwoya wildlife reserve is best accessed using the road. Other means of transport like air transport may be there but not common. Road transport gives tourists opportunity to explore things outside there itineraries especially the beautiful sceneries along the roads. By road, from Uganda’s capital - Kampala, via the Kampala- Hoima road, it is about 232km taking about 4 hours. From Kampala via the Kampala- Hoima -Kyenjojo road, it is about 237km taking about 4-5 hours. From the nearest town Hoima, via the Kyenjojo- Hoima road, it is about 42km taking about 1hour. From Kibale Forest National Park via the Kyenjojo-Hoima road, it is about 168km taking about 3-4 hours. From the Murchison Falls National Park via the Masindi-Hoima road it is about 3-4 hours.

Uganda safari accommodation/where to stay in Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve

Lake Albert lodge is one of the most treasured accommodation facilities in Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve. The other option a tourist has is camping, so tourists are advised to move along with personal tents. Other accommodation facilities are located far away from the reserve therefore the best option is Lake Albert lodge (mid-range).

The best time to safari/tour Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve Uganda

The climate in Uganda favors safaris throught the year however the best time to safari Uganda is best in the dry season. The dry season is best because the roads are passable, animals can easily be seen, and the tourist’s activities are not interrupted by weather. There are two dry seasons and these are in the months of December -February and June-August. The wet season is good but tricky. During the rainy seasons, some roads especially those that are murram, become impassable since they tend to flood and even get slippery. The only cars that may succeed these Uganda safaris/tours are the 4x4 cars.
