Uganda the second happiest country in East Africa – UN Happiness Report shows

The annual 2018 UN World Happiness Report that was released on March 15 this year and Uganda was placed in the 135th position out of the indexed 156 countries. Kenya was placed in the 124th position, Rwanda the third in 151st position, Tanzania 153, South Sudan 154 and Burundi the last in 156th position.
The overall ranking of a country in the annual 2018 UN World Happiness Report was determined by the scores obtained per country in the last 3 years depending on six values considered as happiness triggers. Happiness triggers include freedom, income, healthy life expectancy, social support, trust and generosity of the people in that particular country. This report is released annually by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
