A must do Uganda safari activity in Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park Boat cruise is fascinating water activity done by travelers on Safaris in Uganda alongside wildlife safaris in Uganda’s Lake Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo National Park is one of Uganda’s remaining Savannah park and smallest conservation area among the 10 National Parks in Uganda. This Uganda safari destination stretches beyond beauty that is blessed with a diversity of animals including beautiful Zebras, Impalas, Sitatunga and Eland; the largest living Antelope in the wild among others.


Lake Mburo National park spreads is home to four water bodies including the famous Lake Mburo which is a blessing to the park. The water mass accelerates safari pride since it offers a remarkable boat cruise that gives travelers a clear view of the wildlife missed during game drives around the park or during nature walks especially the aquatic species like mammals, birds and reptiles. On a daily, Lake Mburo National Park staff with the help of the Uganda wildlife Authority conduct boat cruises along Lake Mburo at different time. There is a boat cruise done in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening. The boat normally lasts between one and half to two hours depending on the weather and tides/waves of water body. Not to be missed on this launch are the pools of hippos and crocodiles in close range as well as fantastic avian life surrounding the waters.

 As part of your adventure, the boat cruise will get you to come face to face with the flora and fauna of the lake. When you look along the banks of the lake, you will also see many animals that come to the lake to quench their thirst especially in the dry season. You will also see many hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, buffaloes, and over 3 types of otters that are found in the lake. When it comes to the birds, you will view the malachite kingfishers, African Fish eagles, blue headed weavers, Rufuos long tailed starlings, the pied kingfishers, hammerkobs, Herons, pelicans, the rare shoebill as well as the cormorants. This boat safari will also give you a chance to view the crocodiles as well as the hippos in their natural habitat and it has continued to be the major tourist attraction.
