THE SECOND BUSOGA TOURISM EXPO ENCOUNTER SET TO COME – UGANDA SAFARI NEWS
The Uganda’s sub region of Busoga is a rich Uganda safari tour destination with wide range of attractions and activities that feature culture, adventure and recreation.
Being on the shores of the gigantic Lake Victoria which is also the source of the world’s longest river – the Nile which at times prompts travellers to undertake safari tours to Uganda, Busoga has got the potential to attract and retain world travelers for a good couple of days.
The second Busoga Expo which is set to happen on March 13 to 14 will be conducted at Buluza grounds in the Iganga District. The expo is set to show case the Busoga’s potential particularly in terms of culture and heritage. During the expo, another cultural site called Nnhenda Cultural site is to be launched to expand the tourism products that can be encountered by travelers on safaris and tours in Uganda.
Among other things to be incorporated in the expo include the bicycle racing for women and men, clan leaders’ folk presentation and Omweso Competition. These activities can also be encountered by travelers on Uganda safaris and tours.
Those expected to attend include the technocrats from the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities, regional dignitaries from tourism and travel industry, the President of the Republic of Uganda and the Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament.
This will be the second Busoga expo following the first one which occurred on 12th – 15th December 2014.
