Be my tourist event set for this valentine – uganda safari news

sezibwa-imageThe Valentine day is one of those celebrated days in Uganda where various people from different age ranges take tie to share passion and moments of comfort with their loved ones. Though not a public holiday, the valentines is recognized across the country spectrum and the people tend to put on red and black as the designs - something that travellers on safaris and tours in Uganda can follow suit.
Now, this year’s valentine has come reloaded with the capacity to usher memorable encounter to the intimate followers. It will be a thrilling encounter next weekend at Devine Villa Home-stay in Mukono where the Miss Tourism Buganda and Buganda Tourism Board will arrange a romantic luncheon for the tour operators, media and general public along with the 26 beauty queens that participated in the last Miss Tourism Uganda contest. The Uganda safari tour undertakers can also enroll themselves for the encounter.
The Ham Mukasa court the venue for the event commemorates the famous Ham Mukasa who lived from 1868 – 1956 and served in the court of Mutesa I of Buganda and as the scribe to Apollo Kagwa with his unforgettable English and Swahili oratory skills.
Ham Mukasa also wrote the first glossaries of the Ganda language. His court (Embuga Ya Ham Mukasa) contains some of the first cars of Uganda and the historical writings of Buganda including the 1900 Buganda Agreement.
The first of its kind in Uganda’s tourism, “Be My Tourist” event will incorporate visiting of Mpoma satellite, visiting Sezibwa falls and forest camping. This can be thrilling to encounter and has the potential to pull travellers to undertake safaris and tours in Uganda.
