realized that one of the engines was in trouble as smoke was rushing out
of it hence opting for an emergency landing. At this point, the crying,
screaming and rumbling of the plane had come to an end. Images from the
scene showed that the aircraft plunged into a thicket, hitting some
trees and breaking part of its wing that tilted it to one side as it hit
the ground
This emergency landing was a hard impact on the plane as well as the passengers on board, some got minor injuries and others were successfully evacuated from the plane. The casualties were rushed to Nairobi Hospital for medical attention. Emergency response teams hurried to the site to ensure everything goes well. There were no fatalities reported. “The passengers and crew have been safely disembarked and we are currently working with the relevant authorities to assess the situation.”

the less, “The Aircraft Accident Investigations Directorate, under the
Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, is
carrying out investigations to establish the cause of the accident,”
read part of a statement by the Kenya Airports Authority.

The plane which skid off is a Fokker 50 of registration number 5Y IZO with a serial number of 20244. It was manufactured in 1992 by Fokker aviation of Netherlands.
