Day 1 of the 13 Days Uganda gorilla safari & wildlife tour/ 13 Days Uganda wildlife safari: You and your driver guide will set off for Murchison Falls National Park with a visit at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking Uganda. Proceed to your prior booked hotel, check in, dine and spend your night there

Wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast at your hotel in Kampala / Entebbe as you prepare to meet with your Uganda safari driver guide. Meet and greet, after he will give you a shirt briefing about your 7 days safari in Uganda. Depart at 6:30am for Murchison Falls National Park to Uganda’s north west for about 311km in about 5 hours’ excluding stops en route. You will break your journey at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a Rhino trekking safari giving you chance to explore the only population of Southern White Rhinos in Uganda and this last for 2 hours. Day 2 of the 13 Days Uganda gorilla safari & wildlife tour/ 13 Days Uganda wildlife safari: Undertake a game drive in northern part of Murchison Falls National Park, Take a Nile launch cruise in the afternoon Nile for about 2 hours & hike to the top of the falls for about 1 hour. Return to the lodge, dine and sleep

You are required to cross with the 7am ferry if you slept in the south or start the game drive at 6:30am if you slept in the north and inside the park gaining rich possibilities of spotting Elephants, Rothschild Giraffes, Lion, Buffalo, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Leopard, Oribis, Kobs, waterbucks among others. A game drive in the park will last about 3 – 4 hours, have breakfast and lunch & at 2pm, you will take a Nile launch cruise that departs Paraa Jetty to the bottom of the falls cruising on the world’s longest River. Upon arrival at the bottom of the falls, you will hike to the top of world’s most powerful waterfall enjoying the incredible water sounds and views of the Nile River as it forces itself to make way through an 8m gorge after which it falls generating a plume of spray with a thunderous roar and a trademark rainbow. Have breakfast at 7am at your lodge and connect to Kanyanchu tourism center for briefing at 8am from the ranger guides in the park. After the briefing, you will be led into the forest which for 2 – 5 hours in search of Chimpanzees. Kibale National Park is a rich bio-diverse destination with great flora including flowering plants, tall and mature trees some of which are medicinal and others are favorites to wild animals, 375 species of birds not forgetting 13 primate species. The one hour with Chimpanzees is a memorable one as you explore them feed, patrol, fight, mate, play, display their jumping skills among other interesting features as you take amazing photoshoots. From the activity, you enjoy lunch and later visit Bigodi wetland and Community for a rewarding ecotourism experience. Depart the lodge after breakfast at 7am and set off for the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, you will enjoy amazing scenery of the Rwenzori Mountains; also known as the Mountains of moon, rising to 5,109m above sea level with snowcapped peaks and the open savannah landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park with chances of spotting wildlife by the road. Day 6 of the 13 Days Uganda gorilla safari & wildlife tour/ 13 Days Uganda wildlife safari: Do your Mountain Gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & drive to Lake Bunyonyi, do evening boat cruise & relaxation

Mountain Gorillas are known to thrive only in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda and the Greater Virunga massif shared by Uganda Rwanda and Congo. With their population estimated at 880, Bwindi alone has a minimum of 400 Mountain Gorillas and thus best placed for gorilla trekking adventure. Briefing for this activity starts at 8am after the armed park rangers lead you to this amazing dense forest hiking up and down the steep slopes intercepted by narrow valleys amidst the enchanting bird songs and lush flora. The gorilla trekking duration lasts 2 – 8 hours but the actual viewing is limited to one hour for purposes of Conservation and it is an incredible moment viewing them as they forage and socialize while taking good photo shoots. From the activity, you transfer to Lake Bunyonyi enjoying nice views of Kigezi Highlands dubbed the Switzerland of Africa and spend the evening at leisure enjoying the views of this amazing lake with a count of 29 Islands. Early in the morning, after your breakfast at your lodging facility, you will set off for Lake Mburo National Park from Lake Bunyonyi driving for about 6 hours. Arrive at the park, check in at your lodge, have lunch and go for your afternoon boat cruise along Lake Mburo. During the boat cruise, you will see lots of water animals including hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife animals that you may spot along the lake quenching their thirst. besides the animals, you will also see several birds around the Lake. Day 8 of the 13 Days Uganda gorilla safari & wildlife tour/ 13 Days Uganda wildlife safari: Do an early morning game drive in the park, return to the lodge for proper breakfast, have lunch and do a horse riding safari in the afternoon. Depending on how you will be feeling, you will do an evening game drive

Have a cup of coffee in the morning before you set off for your early morning game drive in the park to catch the early morning risers as they get out of their hide outs to look for their prey. During your game drive, you will see lots elands, zebras, impalas and many more other unique animals. Day 9 of the 13 Days Uganda gorilla safari & wildlife tour/ 13 Days Uganda wildlife safari: Drive back to Kampala, lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre & another stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe

Following breakfast, set off for the transfer to Kampala 437km approximately 7 hours’ drive enjoying the views of south western Uganda landscapes including Banana plantations and cattle farms. A traditional lunch stop will be made at Igongo Cultural center for a thrilling Ugandan buffet and another stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe where you can justify the geographical divide between the north and south hemispheres. It is also a good site for photo shoots and souvenir purchase.

Day 10 of the 13 Days Uganda gorilla safari & wildlife tour/ 13 Days Uganda wildlife safari: Do a Kampala city tour and transfer back to the lodge

[caption id="attachment_1197" align="alignleft" width="298"] Rubaga cathedral[/caption] You will wake up early in the morning and kick off your day early morning breakfast at your hotel in Kampala. At around 8am, you will meet our representative; your driver guide who will take you through a briefing about your 3 days Kampala and Jinja city tour. After the briefing, you will depart for your one-day Kampala city tour visiting the Buganda cultural sites like the royal palace in Mengo. This is the main palace and official residence for the Kingdom of Buganda, of the four generations of reigning Monarchies and the members of the Royal Family since 1885, full of exciting scenes and art galleries. It is situated on Mengo hill opposite the headquarters of the Kingdom Administration at Bulange. You will then drive to Kasubi Tombs; an active religious place in the Buganda Kingdom as well as a burial ground for the Kings of Buganda. After Kasubi tombs, you will visit Rubaga cathedral; the oldest Roman Catholic diocese in Uganda and also the home church of Archbishop of Kampala. Drive to Namirembe cathedral on Namirembe hill, the oldest cathedral for the Anglican church in the country also taken to be the headquarters for the Anglican people in the country. After a visit to these places, you have lunch in one of the restaurants in town. [caption id="attachment_1207" align="alignright" width="300"] Uganda Museum[/caption] After Lunch, you will visit the Uganda Museum that displays and exhibits ethnological, natural, historical and traditional life collections of Uganda's cultural heritage over the years. You will then proceed to the Uganda Martyrs shrine Namugongo is Roman Catholic minor basilica dedicated to the Ugandan Martyrs who were murdered in cold blood for their Christian faith and finally go at the Bahai temple, the only temple of it Kind in Africa as well as for the Bahai faith in Africa. In the evening after your Kampala city tour, you will transfer back to your hotel for your dinner and overnight.

Day 11 of the 13 Days Uganda gorilla safari & wildlife tour/ 13 Days Uganda wildlife safari: Transfer to Jinja very early in the morning with a stopover at Sezibwa Falls for a cultural safari tour and Mabira Forest for birding

[caption id="attachment_1208" align="alignleft" width="300"] Mabira forest[/caption] You are required to wake up early in the morning, take breakfast at your hotel and get ready to be picked up by your Uganda safari driver guide. At round 7am, you will be picked up by your guide from the hotel and embark on your journey to Jinja. Along the way, you will have a stopover at one of Uganda’s cultural hidden treasures of Uganda; Sezibwa falls in Mukono. The Sezibwa falls are situated at about 32km along the Kampala – Jinja highway, in Mukono District. A drive to the falls takes about 1 hour from Kampala to Kayanja town and about 1.5km off the road. The waterfalls are set in an undisturbed natural and serene attractive environment with lots of birds and a few wildlife. Sezibwa River plunges over 17-meter-high rocks into a plunge pool with a depth of over 13 meters. The falls and river are surrounded by big fig trees, bamboo and several shrubs, a small rain forest that is home to several monkeys and a good number of birds. [caption id="attachment_1209" align="alignright" width="300"] Sezibwa falls[/caption] From Sezibwa falls, you will proceed to Mabira forest along the Kampala-Jinja high way. From Mukono to Mabira is about 35 km driving for about 1hour. Upon arrival in the forest, you will do a nature walk in the forest. You will meet trained guides who will give you a comprehensive forest experience. The forest has over 312 species of trees, that act as food as wells as home to several birds, monkeys and other animals that habit this forest. The nature walk experience in the forest takes about 2hours and then progress for lunch in Jinja. After lunch, embark on a journey to the source of River Nile in Jinja. You will take a boat cruise to the mighty River Nile (Longest River in Africa) to a point where starts its journey all the way to Mediterranean Sea.

Day 12 of the 13 Days Uganda gorilla safari & wildlife tour/ 13 Days Uganda wildlife safari: Do white water rafting and boat cruise along the River Nile in the afternoon

After rafting, you will have your lunch in one of the restaurants and go for horse riding or quad biking for about 2 hours and after embark on your journey back to Kampala at your hotel or for your drop off at Entebbe airport for your flight.

Day 13 of the 13 Days Uganda gorilla safari & wildlife tour/ 13 Days Uganda wildlife safari: Do a horse back riding safari in the morning and drive back to Kampala to your hotel / Entebbe for your flight

Have breakfast early in the morning and go for horse back riding safari for about 2 hour, have lunch and get your bags packed and set off for Kampala.
