Diner en blanc returns tonight in Kigali Rwanda

kigaliThe Party enthusiasts get on the pre-arranged buses and transfer to the venue and with no compromise dressed in a white attire carrying food and drink to the venue. It is a big day in Kigali tonight and travelers on safaris in Rwanda are free to join.
The Diner en Blanc is an event that is internationally celebrated and apparently features in various cities of the world since it was initiated in 1988 in France aiming at enhancing elegance, friendship and a feeling of community hood between the attendees. Kigali is credited to have been the first city in Africa to host the Diner en Blanc event at Gacuriro in the year 2012 where counts of people participated including Rwanda safari undertakers.
It can be noted that Diner en Blanc goes beyond the dinner thing that is filled with impressive food and drinks. The Illume Creative Studio’s Creative Director Anne Mazimhaka acknowledges that the event intends to join the Rwanda’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) strategy and enhance the local entrepreneurship and business.
Rwanda Development Board in May 2014 launched the new strategy that aims at developing MICE as a novelic strategy to development of tourism. In fact, MICE is an addition to the products encountered on Rwanda safaris. The MICE complements other traditional tourist products like gorilla trekking safaris in Rwanda, cultural tours, Rwanda wildlife safaris and eco-tourism.
Since its inception in Rwanda, the Dîner en Blanc is noted to have attracted a considerable number of participants from Rwanda, neighboring countries and the tourists themselves. Countries of Uganda, Burundi, Kenya, South Africa and Ivory coast not forgetting Switzerland, Canada, Belgium, France, United States and Netherlands have got a good representation at the event.
Besides being unique tourism product, the Diner en Blanc also offers opportunity for growth to local event planners, caterers, restaurants, retailers, hotels, artists, carpenters, tailors and decorators. At the event, these various service providers offer the guests in attendance special promotions. This year’s participating catering and restaurant service providers include; Meze Fresh, Felicita Café, Sole Luna and Khana Khazana.
The 15th August 2015 Diner en Blanc function is organized by the Illume Creative Studio in conjunction with Positive Productions with support from the Ministry of Sports and Culture, National Police, Rwanda Development Board and the Kigali City Council. Other supporters of the event include; KK Security, SORAS, DBO Wines, Chillax Lounge and Showtime Events. There are also prizes to be won at the event and these are offered by RwandAir, Nyungwe Forest Lodge, Songa Africa, Mountain Gorilla Hotel, Virunga Lodge, Akagera National Park, House of Tayo, Inzuki, and Soulspace Spa, Sonia Mugabo Official, Braschetto, Eden Palm Hotel and Poivre Noire.

Mountain Gorilla Behavior,Diet,Threats and Predators
