Nature walks in Kibale National Park

The day nature walk is interesting for Uganda chimpanzee trekking safaris and some other resident primates of the park, discovering the park’s lush vegetation and tree species. The nocturnal / night nature walks begin after dusk at around 7.30 pm and goes for approximately 2 – 3 hours. This night walk is so amazing, that one can easily spot the elusive nocturnal creatures such as the potta, nightjar, tree hyrax, cricket and the bush baby, and the occasional Serval cat. The powerful torches / spotlights provide clear viewing of the nocturnal species amidst dark forest. These are steadily gaining attention among the travelers on Uganda Safaris tours.

A nature walk during day is interesting for butterfly viewing and for birders as Kibale forest is a renowned birding destination, and a habitat to over 375 bird species.
