Mgahinga National Park is a protected under the Virunga conservation area. The Virunga Conservation area covers a total area of about 434km2. Virunga conservation area consists of Volcanoes National Park Rwanda, Virunga National Park in Democratic Republic of Congo and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park Uganda.
