A New tourism executive elected-Uganda safari News

nile riverThe Tourism sector has got a new tourism executive and he is to replace the old one who has been carrying out the tourism tasks with in country, the new tourism executive is Stephen Asiimwe and he replaced Cuthbert Baguma, the new director is to make sure that Uganda safaris with in the country are carried out well in order to increase the amount of revenues which are collected from the sector.
The ceremony was presided over by the minister of tourism, Hon Maria Mutagamba who said that tourism will be improved if domestic tourism is encouraged. She stressed that domestic tourism is a high  ranking type of tourism in many developing countries since the local people are also encouraged to participate in the many safaris which take place within the country.
The minister also said that the tourism sector has a potential of increasing its earnings if marketing is promoted since this will help in increasing both international and domestic tourists to come for safaris in Uganda. The tourism sector has greatly contributed low incomes to the country since the government has not come up fully finance the tourism sector with in the country.
The new executive director also assured the sector operators and the team are ready to drive the industry which will help in developing the sector with in the country and also helping in the development of the country. Uganda Tourism Board is known to be a, government organization which is responsible for promoting and marketing of the tourism sector to the outside world, this has however helped in increasing the number of tourists who come for tour visits.
