You will have breakfast at your hotel early in the morning, your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel to the dock where you will take a boat to Ngamba Island; home of the orphaned chimpanzees. The boat to Ngamba Island takes approximately 45mins to get to the home to the orphaned chimpanzees living in the protected sanctuary. Upon arrival at the Island, the duty caretakers will brief you about the history of the sanctuary especially why the chimps were transferred to that island as well as the activities you will be doing in the day. After the briefing, you will be taken for the feeding session giving you chance to interact with the chimpanzees. You will notice their unique behavior as you interact with them, enjoy their company and take lots of pictures. Your will have your lunch at Ngamba Island. After your breakfast in the morning at the hotel, prepare to depart for Kibale National Park. Your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel, drive south west of Uganda to the town of Fort Portal via the Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portal highway for about 7 hours as you head to Kibale National Park. You will enjoy lots of amazing sceneries on your way arriving in Fort Portal in time for lunch. After your lunch, you can take a walk in this beautiful town and after proceed to Kibale National Park in the evening, check in your hotel or lodge and spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Have breakfast very early in the morning at your lodging facility and after transfer to Kanyanchu visitors centre for your briefing session about the do’s and don’ts of your chimpanzee trekking safari Uganda by the park rangers. After briefing, the park rangers will lead you into the forest in search for the chimpanzees. While in the forest, you will see quite a good number of chimpanzees and other primates playing in the tree branches, making different sounds, playing and many more. The chimpanzee trekking activity takes about 3-4 hours. Retire from the activity, and return to your lodge for lunch and after take a nature walk to the Bigodi wetland. After breakfast, your driver guide will take you for an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi trail to catch the early morning risers before they go hunting for the day. As part of your adventure, you may also visit the crater lakes found inside the park as well as have a view of Lake Edward and George. During your game drive, you may sight animals like antelopes, Uganda kobs, lions, buffaloes, elephants, and other animals. After your briefing, you will set into the forest with the ranger guides for your gorilla trekking expedition in the lush forest vegetation of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Trekking is an energetic activity that requires fitness because hours to be trekked lie between 2-8 hours.
