The Hirwa Gorilla group of Volcanoes National Park - Rwanda Safaris & Tours

mother-twins-gorillasThe Hirwa gorilla group is found in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, and the name mainly stands for Lucky one. This group came into existence in 2006 when the trackers witnessed its formation by the merging of some members from two different existing families, mainly known as group 13 and sabyinyo group making up a very small group. This group has greatly attracted many mountain gorilla trekking safaris to Rwanda.
The group has got 9 members, that’s to say, 1 silverback, 3 adult female, 2 sub adult females and 3 babies. This group has got interesting individuals and these have got a unique character, that’s why many visitors have come to Rwanda in order to engage in gorilla tracking safaris hence increasing safaris in Rwanda.
Despite being the newest group on the block, Hirwa exhibits strength and holds its own amongst all the other established groups. This has helped in increasing the number of gorilla safaris in Rwanda. These trekkers have mainly wanted to track this group although it’s new in the park. This has helped in increasing revenues in Rwanda.
Mountain gorillas in Rwanda are found in Volcanoes National park, and there are many gorilla groups which are trekked by tourists who visit Rwanda, these groups have got different members and they are always ruled by the male silverback in the group, the silverback is always responsible for the protection of the group and also making nests for the group members in order to rest or sleep, this group is interesting and its liked by many gorilla trekking tourists who visit Rwanda.
