A safari to Dian Fossey Tomb.- Rwanda Safaris & Tours news

diaThis tomb is found near Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda and it’s adjacent to the gorilla cemetery in the former Karisoke Research Centre. The tomb has greatly attracted many tourists who also engage in gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National park.
 The safari involves a 30 minute drive from the park headquarters in order to trail head and 10 minutes to trail to the park boundaries, the ascent through the forest takes anything from 90 minutes to three hours, depending on your fitness and how often you stop to enjoy the scenery while the descent takes 1-2 hours. This tomb has continued to attract many safaris to Rwanda which has helped in increasing the revenues if the country and also in developing the tourism industry.
 The hike to the Tomb offers an opportunity to see birds and other creatures in the park like; the elephants, monkeys, butterflies and also mountain gorillas which have attracted many gorilla tracking safaris to Volcanoes National Park.
 The hike to the toms will also take you to the house from where Dian Fossey was murdered in 1985, and also she was buried in the same place just next to her favourite gorilla, which was killed by the poachers. This place has attracted many gorilla trackers who have visited the Tomb.
In addition to the hike to the tombs, Volcanoes national park has got many activities which can be engaged in by the visitors, these activities include; mountain gorilla trekking as the main activity, bird watching, golden monkey tracking and many more activities.
