The Prunus Africana is recorded to be wide spread across the continent of Africa including Uganda where it is explored on Uganda Safaris and tours . The Uganda Tourism Body (UTB) which is the main public body responsible for marketing Uganda Safari and tour products officially disclosed the activities for the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) which is scheduled to run from Feb 17 th – 19 th 2017 at Kololo Independence grounds in Uganda’s capital Kampala. Noted to be among the East African annual tourism events, the Pearl of Africa Expo aims at promoting the tourism business including safaris in Uganda amongst all natives and residents and it will run under the theme “Tourism is everybody’s business”. Scientifically referred to as Bubulcus ibis, the cattle egret is among the popular bird species explored on Uganda birding safaris and tours belonging the Ardeidae family thriving in the tropical areas, sub tropics along with warm temperature zone areas. The Cattle Egret is recorded as the only member of Bubulcus monotypic genus though others classify the two of its sub species (Western and Eastern cattle egrets) as full species. Monitor Lizard forms the common name for the range of large species of lizards that comprise the Genus Varanus which are native to the continent of Africa, Oceania and Asia. The Monitor Lizards are marked with long necks, powerful claws and tails along with well-built limbs as always viewed on Uganda Safaris and Tours . The length of the adult existing species stretch from 20cm in some species up to 3m like the Komodo dragon but the extinct species like the megalania would even reach 7m. Scientifically referred to as Sagittarius serpentarius , the secretary bird is a large terrestrial dwelling bird of prey thriving in the savannah and open grassland of sub-Saharan Africa including the destination Uganda where it is often explored on Uganda birding safaris and tours . The secretary bird features its own family called Sagittariidae even though it’s a member of Accipitriformes Order that includes many diurnal raptors like hawks, kites, harriers and vultures.
