ADVENTURE CYCLING IN KAMPALA RETURNS FOR THE SECOND TIME

The Adventure cycling is one of the recent additions on the portfolio of Uganda Safari products that allow the visitors and the residents to undertake the exploration of various parts of Kampala city. The second edition of this cycling Adventure in Kampala was launched of recent at Uganda Tourism Board Offices by the new State Minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda. The Minister highlighted the fact that Uganda tours are not about traveling to protected areas but Kampala is as well a rewarding destination and cycling is one of those avenues through which the city can be explored. THE RWANDA KIGALI CONVENTION CENTER EVENTUALLY OPENS UP

The destination Rwanda eventually opened the famous Kigali Convention Center one of the long awaited iconic Rwanda tour product in the contemporary times. Amazingly, the center opens up at the time when Rwanda is set to host the African Union Summit from 10 th – 18 th July 2016. The Kigali Convention Center features Radisson Blue Kigali Hotel with 292 rooms and then a conference center with the seating capacity of 2,500 people was meant to be finished in three (3) years since its commencement in 2009 but took a little longer as a result of insufficient funds. The completion of the center has been partly motivated by the African union’s interest to host the summit in Rwanda in the year 2016 – something that will see African heads of state and other signatories take the journey/ safari to Rwanda to participate in the event. This day seeks to raise individual awareness of the role tourism plays throughout the whole international community with how it is to affect the economic, social and cultural situations around the whole world. UGANDA WILDLIFE AUTHORITY REMITS $42000 KIDEPO PARK COMMUNITY

The Uganda Safari tour National Park of Kidepo of recent received $42000 approximately 143,850,000/= for the 2015 / 2016 financial year to undertake the implementation of livelihood projects in the area. The submitted funds were released by the Kaabong District administration and it is generated from the 20% revenue sharing scheme with the park as entrance receipts. This total amount had accumulated for the last three (3) years until they were eventually released. The 20% revenue sharing is provided for in the Uganda Wildlife Act to enable the community realise the significance of conservation and the Uganda Safaris and tours . According to Johnson Masereka Conservation Area Manager of Kidepo Valley National Park, there are three (3) sub counties set to benefit from the scheme and these include; Kawalakol, Kamion and Karenga.
